A little about our Wednesbury site:
Our advanced manufacturing site in Wednesbury, West Midlands, is our newest advanced manufacturing site, and we’ve invested around £4.7 million into state-of-the-art facilities.
Our Wednesbury site is a flagship Added Value centre for Avara, which employ over 150 talented individuals at the site, who help to supply some of the UK’s largest supermarkets and popular restaurants!
About the Role:
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Data Administrator to support our production and despatch management teams by collecting, updating, and reporting key operational data. This role involves maintaining accurate records of production downtime, materials reconciliation and giveaway information, generating daily performance reports, and ensuring that data is communicated effectively to senior management.
The role is office based, however there may be an occasional requirement to enter into the factor. As a Data Administrator you’ll be working Monday-Friday 07:00-16:00. This is an office based role and hybrid working is not available.
What will your key responsibilities as a Data Administrator include?
- Collect and maintain production downtime data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Update giveaway records daily, tracking product or material giveaways in line with focus targets.
- Prepare, print, and distribute data reports to the senior management team daily.
- Send daily performance analysis emails to relevant stakeholders, highlighting key metrics.
- Maintain and organize data using spreadsheets (primarily Microsoft Excel), ensuring all entries are current and reliable.
- Work closely with production, accounts and despatch teams to gather required data and clarify discrepancies.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by providing accurate and accessible data insights.
- Provide costings for new products
- Referring to sales forecast figures to order and de-hire all loose equipment including crates and pallets for several key accounts for our sites.
- Hiring and dehiring of all equipment types including HSF bins
- Attend loose equipment audits arranged by suppliers.
- Conduct daily equipment counts and provide information to our suppliers via Excel Spreadsheets.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Proven experience in data entry, administration, or a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, charts, and formatting tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities with key stakeholders
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with production or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Basic understanding of KPIs and production metrics.
