We are passionate about the health and welfare of the birds in our care and we aim to give them the best start in life. Good welfare means providing for their needs, this is achieved though keeping high standards in all that we do, in hatcheries and on our farms.
We have a network of hundreds of chicken and turkey farms, spread across England and Wales, 7 hatcheries and two mills where we produce our own feed.
Working in Agriculture doesn’t just mean hands-on roles on Farms, we also having planning and compliance opportunities too.
Typical roles available:
‘As a company they offer a huge support network, and encourage progression and further development, but most importantly they will recognise hard work and commitment from staff and will reward this with good pay and new opportunity.’
‘I’ve had the opportunity to progress through the levels and learn new tasks. I’ve been offered training and am currently working towards an Agricultural Apprenticeship… the day is varied and there’s always something new to do!... There’s the opportunity to earn more by learning new skills. I’ve been with the company now for almost seven years’.
‘At Avara I’m not just a number, I am a valued member of my team! I’ve been given the opportunity to grow and develop in my role, and I’ve been given specific support along the way, to ensure I’m not only providing valuable work to the company, but also that I’m on track to achieve the goals I’ve set out for myself. I can see a path for progression within Avara, and the icing on the cake is that I also count my colleagues as friends’.
