A little about our Wednesbury site:

Our advanced manufacturing site in Wednesbury, West Midlands, is our newest advanced manufacturing site, and we’ve invested around £4.7 million into state-of-the-art facilities.

Our Wednesbury site is a flagship Added Value centre for Avara, which employ over 450 talented individuals at the site, who help to supply some of the UK’s largest supermarkets and popular restaurants!

 
Working Hours 
Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 with regular requirements to cover twilight hours from 6pm onwards but hours can be discussed at interview.

About the Role:

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our people across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Training Coordinator to join our Technical Team, based at our Wednesbury site.

The role is factory based, so you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf-life products where hygiene standards are critical. 

What will you be doing as a Training Coordinator at Avara Foods?

You will help ensure that the company is following legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements by working with and influencing other people, so work is carried out to the agreed standard and schedule.

What will your key responsibilities as a Training Coordinator include?

Reporting into the Technical Compliance Manager, the Training Coordinator is a site-based role within the Technical function focusing on the delivery, training and dissemination of food safety and quality initiatives.

Understanding customer and food safety bodies training requirements. Delivery of training against technical documents including product assembly lessons, specifications, and task procedures. The onboarding of colleagues into skilled roles. Completing process reviews and competency of assessments to verify successful completion of training.

Maintain accurate records of training records and employee certifications. Managing the Technical training matrix, logging completed training and directing training activities to areas of need. Ensuring timely completion of refresher training.

Supporting the site Operations and Technical functions through monitoring and auditing to customer and product requirements are understood and achieved. The role will be pivotal in delivering a strong food safety culture throughout the site.

The role will include aspects of internal auditing. The Training Coordinator may also be expected to be a site HACCP team member and Food Defence team member. As required, the role will be required to support with 2nd and 3rd party audits and customer visits such as trials, pre-productions days and product launches.

What you’ll need to be successful:

Excellent MS Office skills

The ability to read and understand technical information

Strong communication skills

Capable of reading and interpreting compliance information

Excellent attention to detail

Willingness to continuously learn

Strong interpersonal skills.

Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.
