Production Operative
Location: Banbury Mill
Salary: £33,450 + Shift Premium £7,550 (Total package £41,000)
Hours: 42 hours per week – 4 on 4 off shift pattern (includes weekends)

The Role
We are looking for a Production Operative to join our team at Banbury Mill. You will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient production of animal feed, ensuring all safety, quality, hygiene, and production standards are consistently achieved.
Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will help ensure agreed physical and nutritional specifications are met while maintaining operational efficiency across the mill.
Operating Environment

Intensive milling environment (noisy and dusty at times)

Processing raw materials into Animal Feed

Based within the mill environment, including plant and production areas
Key Responsibilities

Support the safe production of feed in line with nutritional and quality standards

Collect samples and assist with quality checks as required
-
Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records

Monitor stock levels and assist with efficient material usage

Minimise downtime and support smooth production flow

Liaise with colleagues to ensure efficient production runs

Monitor feed quality and report any issues

Handle supplement bags up to 26kg when required

Ensure cleaning schedules and hygiene standards are maintained

Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environmental and Biosecurity procedures

Report hazards, near misses, and incidents in line with company policy

Promote company values and maintain confidentiality

Carry out other reasonable duties within the scope of the role
What We’re Looking For
Full training will be provided. However, the following would be advantageous:
Skills & Experience (Desirable):

Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment

Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
-
Forklift licence
-
Basic Health & Safety knowledge
