The Role
As an Assistant Hatchery Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Hatchery Manager with the day-to-day running of the site. You’ll help drive operational efficiency, maintain high welfare and hygiene standards, and support the development of a motivated, high-performing team.

Hours of work: 40 hours
- Monday – 6 – 2:30pm
- Tuesday - 6 – 2:30pm
- Wednesday - 6 – 2:30pm
- Thursday – OFF
- Friday - 6 – 2:30pm
- Saturday - 6 – 2:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operations of the hatchery
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members
- Ensure effective hygiene and maintenance schedules are followed
- Planning and updating the transport rota
- Provide hands-on support for hatchery tasks when required
- Stand in for the Hatchery Manager during absence or leave
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience in Hatchery, Production or FMCG role.
- A proven leader with ability to mentor, motivate, and engage the team
- Excellent communication skills across all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Desirable:
- Knowledge of avian incubation and embryology
- Engineering background
