About the Role:

Are you passionate about Engineering?  Looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience or qualifications in Reliability engineering?

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our people across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering Team, based at our Hereford site.

Working hours -

Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30

Purpose of the role

Working as a member of the Engineering Team, you will haveEngineering responsibility for an area within the operational environment asthe asset manager. Monitoring equipment downtime, analysing trends to drivecontinuous improvement and reliability initiatives and projects.

What will your key responsibilities as a Reliability Engineer include?

  • ·       Responsible for all equipment in an area
  • ·       Maintain a high level of reliability offactory equipment through an effective planned maintenance regime
  • ·       Responsible for the gathering and analysis ofequipment efficiency and downtime to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • ·       Raise planned maintenance or reactivemaintenance jobs for respective area
  • ·       Review of all completed job sheets inrespective area
  • ·       Production of downtime data for weeklymeetings
  • ·       Lead and support installation and capitalprojects
  • ·       Communicate and collaborate with othercolleagues, suppliers and contractors
  • ·       Understand engineering and operational KPIsand be able to identify areas for improvement
  • ·       Interact with on-shift engineers and othersite engineering teams to resolve challenging equipment problems
  • ·       Support the Site Reliability Engineer andengineering peers to develop robust weekly and monthly maintenance plans thatimprove asset availability and equipment performance
  • ·       Co-ordinate original equipment manufacturerengineer service visits with production and planning teams and schedulingfurther work that arises from those inspections

Essential

  • ·       Engineering qualificationabove L3
  • ·       Experience gained in anEngineering maintenance environment
  • ·       Self-motivated attitudewith the ability to multi-task and thrive in a timeline driven environment
  • ·       Good interpersonalcommunication skills
  • ·       Ability to workindividually or as part of a team
  • ·       Ability to problem solve
  • ·       Strong analytical skills
  • ·       Good IT ability

Desirable

  • ·       Bachelor’s degree inEngineering, HND / HNC or L3 Engineering qualification may be considereddepending on experience
  • ·       Knowledge of CMMS system(Mainsaver / Spidex)
  • ·       CAD experience
  • ·       Experience of managingprojects
  • ·       Experience of onsitecontractor management
