Purpose of the role
To effectively inspect, service and maintain our fleet of trucks and bulk pneumatic discharge trailers which service deliveries out of our mills at Westbury, Wiltshire
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and inspecting all trailers on a rotational basis.
- Organising MOT with service agents.
- Repairing of trailer fleet and minor repairs to the trucks.
- Fill out & rectify Defects Trailers & minor Defects on Trucks.
- Technical support every other week and the occasional Local call out
- Completion of all required paperwork to ensure records are kept accurate & up to date.
- To fully understand the importance of safe working practices and procedures.
- Take part in the continuous improvement of Avara Foods quality, safety, and productivity standards.
- • Ensure that the Health and Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures are effectively managed and always adhered to.
- Ensure that delivery of agreed SLA standards is maintained where appropriate.
- Other duties within the general scope of the post may be required from time to time
What we are looking for:
Essential
• Equivalent of City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Engineering.
• Good level of communication and numeracy.
• Good communication skills specifically at driver level.
• High level of organisation skills.
Desirable
• FLT Licence.• HGV class 1/2
• Previous experience in a Mill environment.
• Previous experience or knowledge in poultry or agriculture.
• Bulk Blowing Trailer experience.
• Basic welding.
