Our advanced manufacturing site in Telford, is one of our main processing facilities, processing up to 1.5 million birds per week. There are over 1,200 talented people employed at our Telford site, helping us to deliver high quality products to our customers and making the business a trusted leader in fresh foods.

We’ve recently invested £2.3 million in technology and equipment, making it one of the most advanced food manufacturing facilities in the UK.

About the role

As a Technical driver you will ensure our product is delivered safely and effectively to customer and company sites around the UK, whilst ensuring cover for our Shunting operation.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
  •  Shunting cover
  •  Locate of trailers on loading bays
  • Set the fridge to the correct temperature
  • Check fuel levels on trailers
  • Organise the goods yard trailer parks
  • Liaising with Security, Despatch and Transport to ensure a timely turnaround of trailers on and off-loading bays.
Along with the below driver responsibilities:
  •  Completing walk around checks and ensuring the security of your load. 
  •  Updating and maintaining your work record through digi card downloads and completion of driver envelopes.
  • Reporting of defects in a timely manner.
  • Upholding a professional company image.
  • Maintaining good communication with internal and external teams. 
What we are looking for:
  •  A minimum of 1 years’ Class 1 experience. 
  • Current valid CPC and tacho cards. 
  • No more than 6 points (Including no IN or DR)
  • A good working knowledge of driver hours and regulations. 
  • Flexibility around start times in line with business needs.
