Purpose of the role
 As a Technical Operative you will work as part of a team within a fast paced chilled food production facility ensuring good manufacturing and safe working practices are adhered to at all times.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • To ensure area is prepared ready for shift start
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to agreed tasks and schedule
  • Ensure all machinery checks are conducted in a timely manner
  • To carry out relevant checks to the correct standards
  • To complete necessary paperwork
  • Escalate issues to the engineering section
  • Being proactive on ways to improve machines or processes
  • To support the Section Manager in encouraging safe working behaviours, adhering to company rules and regulations
  • Covering Process Leader in their absence
  • Ensure that the Health and Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Working Procedures are properly managed and adhered to at all times

  • A good level of English and basic numeracy skills
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a responsible attitude to tasks
  • Be self-motivated and able to work to tight deadline

Sunday to Thursday - 18:00 - 03:00

  • Shift allowance of £2.00 for any hours worked between 18:00 and 06:00
