Maintenance Engineer
Location: Hatchery, Quainton, Buckinghamshire

Purpose of the role

We are looking for a strong team player with a high regard for health, safety, and poultry welfare to maintain the hatchery machinery and associated equipment on a daily basis. This includes equipment such as setting and hatching machines, ventilation systems, and ongoing improvement projects.

This is a hands-on role involving manual processes, including lifting equipment up to 25 kg. You will be expected to work independently within farm buildings.


Key responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair hatchery machinery and plant

  • Support ongoing improvement projects

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and poultry welfare standards

  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Prioritise workload effectively


What we are looking for
  • Qualified in a relevant engineering trade

  • Broad understanding of mechanical processes and assemblies

  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance, including welding, fabrication, plumbing, and pipe fitting

  • Effective communication skills and a good team player

  • Committed, reliable, and flexible attitude

  • Ability to use initiative and work independently


Working hours

Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 15:30
