Purpose of the Role:
The Feedmill Production Operative is to work alongside the shift leader running the manufacturing process and production at Westbury mill. To ensure that all standards and requirements are met considering safety, quality and hygiene throughout, whilst ensuring feed is produced to agreed physical and nutritional standards laid out by our poultry operation and nutritional advisers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out production of poultry feed in compliance with QC/feed specifications and HSE guidelines.
- Completion of daily paperwork and using the DSL computer system.
- Reporting any issues and monitoring Pest Control.
- Carrying out daily and weekly stock checks.
- Meeting housekeeping and hygiene standards individually or part of a team e.g. cleaning of Silos, Cooler and Pits.
- Driving Fork Lift/Cat.
What we are looking for:
• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
• The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
• Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
• Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• First aid training desirable
• Forklift licence desirable
• Haccp Level 2 desirable
Working Hours: Rotating Shift Pattern
Week 1 – 11pm-7am
Week 2 – 7am-3pm
Week 3- 3pm -11pm
