A little about our Telford site:

Our advanced manufacturing site in Telford, is one of our main processing facilities, processing up to 1.5 million birds per week. There are over 1,200 talented people employed at our Telford site, helping us to deliver high quality products to our customers and making the business a trusted leader in fresh foods.  

We’ve recently invested £2.3 million in technology and equipment, making it one of the most advanced food manufacturing facilities in the UK.

About the Role:

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our People and Products across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Technical Compliance Administrator to join our Group Technical Team, based at our Telford site.

The role is office based and you’ll be working 08.17.00 Monday-Friday. On a fixed term contract basis for 3 months.

What will your key responsibilities as Technical Compliance Administrator include?

  • Interpret customer policies and procedures for retailers and apply requirements to all raw materials to ensure integrity and authenticity compliance.
  • Collate documentation for customer integrity risk assessments for approval and ongoing monitoring of raw materials (including contact packaging)
  • Collate documentation for raw material chain of custody for compliance with customer codes of practice.
  • Collate documentation for food defence for compliance with customer codes of practice
  • Instigate and co-ordinate at risk raw material traceability challenges working in conjunction with sites based on set frequencies
  • Cover for Supplier Assurance Technologist as and when required 

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Computer literate and proficient in using the Microsoft package
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Organising and prioritising own workload and able to self motivate and work independently.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident and professional approach 
  • Current full driving license as travelling and supporting other sites may be required
