About the Role:

About the role:

As a Quality Auditor you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf-life products where hygiene standards are critical

  • To understand and adhere to food safety/quality and health & safety standards, policies and procedures, ensuring the safe, ethical and legal production of food
  • To provide technical support to production to ensure the product is consistently produced to the agreed quality standard and specification
  • Integral to the packing, dispatch and stores teams operating effectively and appropriately by effectively publicizing and auditing food safety/quality/legal requirements
  • Ability to challenge non conformance
  • To monitor, challenge assumption and to continually develop the function ensuring good custom and practice in food safety, quality, legality, GMP, hygiene and maintenance
  • To help problem solve to root cause when product or processes deviate from the agreed standard
  • Assist in the training and assessment all those involved in critical food safety, quality, legal and hygiene processes/checks
  • Ensure information is treated as confidential
  • Play a key role in audits by customers and external bodies
  • Once fully trained, complete internal audits as part of the schedule
  • Carry out effective product and hygiene tests, recording data and ensuring corrective action is taken
  • Carry out assessments of product quality
  • Participate in improvements to processes and be motivated in implementing new products and initiatives
  • Once established, support with role of Primary Quality Auditor and Quality Systems Administrator when required
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed fully, legibly and accurately to ensure due diligence

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • A good level of English and basic numeracy skills
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
  • Intermediate Food Safety Qualification
  • Intermediate HACCP Qualification
  • Allergen Awareness Training
  • Basic Health and Safety Training
  • Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
