Working Hours

07:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday - 50 hours per week 
 
Purpose of the role

To effectively inspect, service and maintain our fleet of trucks and bulk pneumatic discharge trailers which service deliveries out of our mills at Westbury, Wiltshire and Banbury, Oxfordshire.


Your key responsibilities will include:
Servicing and inspecting all trailers on a rotational basis. 
MOT completion. 
Repairing of trailer fleet and minor repairs to the trucks.
Fill out & rectify Defects Trailers & minor Defects on Trucks.
 •      Being part of the call out rota Monday to friday 
Completion of all required paperwork to ensure records are kept accurate & up to date.
To fully understand the importance of safe working practices and procedures. 
Understanding and attainment of both individual and farm targets.
Co-operate in the continuous improvement of Avara Foods quality, safety and productivity standards.
Ensure that the Health and Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures are properly managed and adhered to at all times.
Ensure that delivery of agreed SLA standards is maintained where appropriate.
Other duties within the general scope of the post may be required from time to time.
This is a hands-on role and involves a number of manual processes including lifting equipment in the region of 25kgs.

What we are looking for:
Essential
Equivalent of City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Engineering.
HGV Class 1.
Good level of communication and numeracy.
Good communication skills specifically at driver level. 
High level of organisation skills.
Desirable
FLT Licence.
Previous experience in a Mill environment.
Previous experience or knowledge in poultry or agriculture.
Bulk Blowing Trailer experience.
Basic welding.
