The working hours for this role are: Saturday – 13:00hrs – 21:00hrs, Sunday 21:00hrs – 05:00hrs

Purpose of the role:

The Weekend Hygiene Team Leader will be responsible for the coordination of operational activities of the hygiene department, as well as the supervision, motivation and development of their team. 

As a member of the Weekend Hygiene Team, based at our Grandstand Road factory, you’ll play a key role in challenging the effective utilisation of resources within your area in order to ensure hygiene standards are maintained to meet company and customer quality specifications. 

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Motivating and encouraging a team of 50 people by developing team work and supporting effective communications. 
  • Accepting personal accountability for health and safety, training and development, resolution of first level employee relation issues and concerns.
  • Ensuring accurate data for transaction into the weekly payroll.
  • Defining site sanitation standards and then measuring and enforcing these standards. 
  • Measuring and monitoring key performance indicators for the hygiene department, managing systems for continuous improvement and implementing systems for identification and closure of site non-conformances relating to hygiene.
  • Working with other departments in a team approach to provide an effective and efficient service to the Factory Manager and departments.
What we are looking for:
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within a production environment. 
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. 
  • Experience within a FMCG industry (preferably within the food processing industry) is desirable. 
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to motivate others. 
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Supervisory Management or equivalent in desirable however full training will be given. 
  • Good IT Skills / Knowledge.
