We’ve recently invested £2.3 million in technology and equipment, making it one of the most advanced food manufacturing facilities in the UK.

About the Role:

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our planning across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Planning Coordinator to join our Team, based at our Telford site.

The role is office based, so you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf life products where hygiene standards are criticalAs Planning Coordinator you’ll be working:

Week 1 Monday - Friday, 07:00 – 16:00
Week 2 Monday - Thursday, 06:00 - 15:00, Friday 13:00 to 22:00

What will your key responsibilities as Planning Coordinator include?

  • Ensure production plans are prepared, updated and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Provide support on planning raw material movement between the Avara sites.
  • Assist production schedulers in answering calls and completing administrative tasks.
  • Deputise for Production Planner.
  • Provide holiday cover for different roles within the planning department, which may involve working shifts, weekends, and supporting other sites.
  • Frequently review stocks of finished goods and compare against upcoming orders.
  • Short-term material management and utilisation including WIP management.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of business requirements and ability to be flexible around the site operations.
  • A logical thinker with good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to solve problems proactively.
  • Ability to maintain and update excel spreadsheets.
  • Good IT standards and basic knowledge of MS package.
