Purpose of the role

To undertake fabrication tasks to support the business needs. Tasks will be Site specific and may include design and manufacture of bespoke pieces in stainless steel, repair of galvanised steel modules (which are critical to our business), emergency repair to sundry transport / material handling items and repairs to existing equipment.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Repair of existing equipment on site.
  • Design and manufacture of bespoke pieces.
  • Repair of galvanised steel modules.
  • Repair material handling items.
  • Assistance to Engineering Shift teams and Lead Engineers.
  • Ensure the repairs and manufacture are carried out in line with the schedule and effective and efficient corrective action is taken.
  • Prioritised and effective response to issues on the site, where possible identifying root cause and suggesting possible improvements to prevent further issues occurring.
  • Follow good engineering standards and good hygiene practice for the department.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety guidelines, highlighting possible areas of improvement to the Engineering Services Manager.
  • Timely reporting of any Health and Safety and Environmental Issues

What we are looking for:


  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
  • Ability to finish work to a high standard, reflective of the industry requirements
  • Experience as a Welder / Fabricator with Stainless Steel
  • Able to Mark Up and Fabricate your own work
  • Competent in MIG & TIG Welding
  • Able to produce accurate work to a high standard
  • Operate safety equipment and use safe working practices at all times
  • Able to work as part of a team and on your own
  • Interpersonal communication skills


  • Fork Lift qualified
  • Background in food manufacturing
  • Milling and Turning skills

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4.30pm with opportunities for flexibility and overtime.
