Are you passionate about Food safety and maintaining a culture of high quality in your team?  Looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience of leading a Quality team or qualifications in advanced food hygiene? 

As an inclusive, forward thinking business, we take pride in our approach to food quality across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Quality Assurance Manager to join our Technical team, based at our Dudley site. 
 
You will play a major role in ensuring quality and safety standards of our products are always met through the effective implementation and management of HACCP and Quality Management systems.
 
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern. 05:30 - 18:00. 

Purpose of the role:

As a QA Manager, you will lead, manage and develop a dedicated quality team to ensure the business meets and surpasses product safety, quality and legality specifications. 

Your key responsibilities as QA Manager will include
:
Ensuring products and procedures meet customer specifications in a fast moving, short shelf life environment. 
Day to day management and development of the QA team. 
Responding to and dealing with enquiries and complaints to ensure effective corrective actions are implemented. 
Maintaining the Quality Management System and HACCP manual. 
Leading internal audits to ensure best practice and audit readiness.
Consistently liaise with production teams to enable consistent delivery of products meeting customer requirements. 

What we are looking for:
Leadership skills and experience of motivating teams. 
Experience within the food production environment. 
Knowledge of and exposure to BRC and major retailer standards. 
Advanced HACCP Qualification and internal auditing experience. 
Strong communication skills with both internal and external parties.
