Working Hours: 7.30am – 4.00pm, Monday – Friday
(There may be a need to reduce these hours slightly, dependent on flock cycle)

Purpose of the role:

The Poultry worker will be responsible for the bird welfare of the flock. This is an ideal opportunity to advance a career within our Agriculture operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Working in poultry houses, i.e. walking the sheds, laying shavings, handling chickens etc.
  • Collecting, screening and packing eggs onto trays, including completion of paperwork.
  • Looking after bird welfare including feeding.
  • General farm duties such as ground maintenance including use of equipment.
What we are looking for:
  • Intermediate level of numeracy and literacy - essential.
  • Manual handling training - desirable.
  • Previous experience of working in an agriculture environment or similar position - desirable.
  • Poultry welfare certificate - desirable.
  • NVQ Level 2 in livestock production (or equivalent) - desirable.
