Primary & Secondary Night Hygiene Operatives
Grandstand Road

Band / Grade:    £ 10.39 per hour, plus shift premium, relevant to working hours - Subject to Change

Primary Working Hours:   21:00 – 05:00 Monday -Thursday / 17:00 – 01:00 Friday

Secondary Working Hours:  22:00 – 06:00  Monday - Thursday / 20:00 - 04:00 Friday

Avara Foods is currently recruiting  for Primary & Secondary Night Hygiene operatives to work within the Hygiene Team at our Grandstand Road site.

• To fully understand the importance of safe working practices and procedures related to all areas of their work and be fully aware of all the required safety equipment needed to perform his/her tasks and how equipment should be used.
• To fully understand and comply with all department and company policies and guidelines.
• Understanding and attainment of both individual and department targets.
• Awareness of the usage of material and energy sources.
• Co-operate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety and productivity standards.
• Manual handling of plant and equipment
• Isolation of plant and machinery
• To meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team.
• Compliance with food safety and HSE guidelines
• To carry out instructions as given to you by your Team Leader/Management

• Basic effective communication and numeracy skills - essential
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in cleaning and support services - desirable
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate - desirable
• Manual Handling training - desirable
