Are you an experienced Administrator looking for a new challenge? We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our Finished Feeds team based at our Feedmill in Allensmore on the outskirts of Hereford. 

We are a leading supplier of Poultry products into an impressive range of customers in the UK retail and food service sectors. With ambitious plans for the future, there hasn’t been a more exciting time to join us.

Purpose of the role:
As a member of the Finished Feed team within our Feedmill, you’ll be responsible for the placement of orders for finished feed that is produced at our Feedmill. Working closely with the Planning Coordinator, the Finished Feed Administrator will work closely with different departments within Avara Foods, as well as external customers, ensuring that all orders are placed accurately and within a timely fashion.
Other key responsibilities include:
  • Taking feed orders from farms – this will be done via phone or email.
  • Placing the orders onto the M-Tech system.
  • Producing daily finished feed delivery schedule. 
  • Daily communication with farms to update them on orders, rearrange delivery, adjusting the schedule in line with Feed Mill Production. 
  • General administrative duties as required for the role.
  • Working closely with different departments within the business, including the Mill Management team, Mill Production staff, Delivery Drivers.
What we are looking for:
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and working using own initiative, with little supervision
  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Intermediate IT Skills and good knowledge of Excel. 
  • Previous experience in an administrative role. 
  • Proven organisational skills, including time management and prioritisation. 
  • Numerate and analytical with an eye for detail. 
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
